One of the things that itches my mind the most when reading the back-and-forth over Calvinism (example) is “Where can I find a hyper-Calvinist?”
The question might sound absurd but really, inquiring minds need to know.
Generally speaking, when a non-Calvinist (or anti-Calvinist, which ever) tries to delineate their oposition to Calvinistic soteriology it is most common for a member of the Calvinist camp to say something along the lines of “You aren’t talking about Calvinism, you are talking about Hyper-Calvinism.” From their it usually switches to a questioning of (a) whether or not the non-Calvinist even understands Calvinism or (b) the Calvinist joins the non-Calvinist in flogging the Hyper-Calvinist.
I post that to give context for my question.
So, back to that question, who (or what) is an example of hyper-Calvinism? I’m particularly interested in contemporary examples. Names, books, websites – all of that would be extremely helpful.
Thanks in advance.
